Trekking Sinai Ain-Hudra (2) |
As if this nature-made beauty and secrecy is not enough to evoke your mind and nourish your senses, few steps closer to the foot of these huge rocks, comes another layer of man-made secrecy this time. Ancient carving drawings which is so called rock-art are depicting variations of actions like fighting with spears while riding over camels or caravans that could be for trading. Also images which show those ancient people hunting in action are high on the list, not to mention writings in different ancient languages like Greek and Nabatean.

Rock art.
Nevertheless, the area still promise you more fun and enjoyment couple of hundred meters ahead. The white canyon which you have to carefully climb down its slippery white stone-walls through a narrow and steep passage is the last leg of the hike. And once you are down on the ground of the canyon, another beautiful nature demonstration of rock formations stays with you during its curved zigzag narrow passage all the way till its other end/mouth which leads you directly to Hudra spring again.
Climbing down the canyon.
Gazing at millions of glittering stars in clear dark shy by night after enjoying a decent hot meal by wood fire would be a perfect end to a short but unforgettable visit to oasis in the middle of the wilderness called Ain-Hudra.
